Tear a paper heart in half. Explain that sometimes we get a broken heart because we do something wrong. Tear it again and explain that sometimes we do everything right, but someone else does something wrong and because of their sin, we get a broken heart. Fold the torn pieces together and ask your audience how they would fix your paper heart. Then explain that God doesn’t need tape or staples or even duct tape, to put the pieces of a broken heart back together again. Unfold the pieces to show a new and restored heart. This illusion contains enough hearts for fifteen presentations, plenty for practice and for sharing.

Thanksgiving idea: This illusion is a great springboard to a variety of topics including thanksgiving. This purchase includes a great story and sample outline for illustrating what it means to give thanks in “all circumstances” (1 Thess 5:18).
